The PLANET GSD-804P 8-Port Gigabit PoE+ Switch is a compact unmanaged network switch designed for small business networks, IP surveillance, wireless access points, VoIP phones and other PoE-based installations. The GSD-804P provides eight 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet ports, including four IEEE 802.3at/af PoE+ ports, combining data switching and power delivery in one desktop or rack-mountable unit.

With a total PoE power budget of up to 60 watts, the switch can power compatible PoE devices such as IP cameras, access points and IP phones directly through the network cable. This reduces the need for separate power adapters and simplifies installations in locations where access to power outlets is limited.

The GSD-804P provides non-blocking wire-speed Gigabit switching and supports 10/100/1000Mbps auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDI-X, making it easy to integrate with both new and existing network devices. A hardware DIP switch allows selection between standard mode and extended mode. In extended mode, the PoE ports can deliver power and data over distances up to 200 metres at 10 Mbps, which can be useful for selected surveillance or access point installations where cable distance is a challenge.

The compact metal housing, fanless design and clear LED indicators make the switch suitable for offices, shops, schools, warehouses and smaller technical installations where reliable and quiet operation is important. As an unmanaged switch, the GSD-804P can be installed without configuration, making it a practical choice for straightforward PoE network deployments.
